-
June 11, 2011
Tom Wilson may look exactly what you would think a rock star would look like. His personality, though, is blue collar and down to earth. I found Wilson early Sunday afternoon lounging on a metal seat at Union Station as he waited to catch a GO Bus back to Hamilton. We were meeting to discuss his travels for an upcoming article for the “On the Road” series in the Star.

Tom talks about his Ottawa art show
-
September 14, 2009
“I started (painting) the second time I stopped drinking. I used it as a creative outlet,” says Wilson, best known for his work with Junkhouse, Blackie & the Rodeo Kings and most recently Lee Harvey Osmond. “I find that creative outlets are like walking from room to room: your environment changes a little bit but it’s the same energy you’re putting into your work.”

Exclaim! review of "A Quiet Evil"
-
June 15, 2009
"A sinister vibe permeates many songs and Wilson's gravelly voice suits the atmosphere perfectly. Definitely more Lee Harvey than Donnie and Marie in personality, A Quiet Evil is a winner."

Review of LeE HARVeY OsMOND's Peterborough show
-
April 29, 2009
"For those of us that enjoy 'roots' music at its best, this is a band that deserves to be heard in the living flesh. That being said, this is a record that will get heavy rotation in this listener's world for the forseeable future. It's always a treat to hear pedal steel guitar outside the confines of country (especially 'new country') music, and the band was walking a path of its own making as it tore through the tunes contained on this record."

Article on LeE HARVeY OsMOND in "No Depression"

February 25, 2009
"I know the reality of this record – some people are going to put it on and say, 'I have been waiting for this for ten years,' and some are going to say it doesn't sound like...whatever folk musician you could name," Wilson concedes. "But I am in awe of the people who contributed to this and found their way into this groove. I kind of found my club."
